When should you book a florist for your wedding? And other FAQ's

Q: How do Mandies Creations price their wedding flowers?

A: Wedding flowers are priced the way they are based on a few factors. The cost of every flower variety fluctuates as flowers are seasonal. Time and labour also needs to be calculated in order to properly price the items for your wedding. They are carefully processed, cleaned and intricately arranged. The other factor is supplies. Each wedding requires the use of boxes, tissue, ribbon, tape, paper, wire and the list goes on. The final factor is over-all design aesthetic and size preferences. A larger arrangement will cost you more. Each wedding is carefully priced with all of these things in mind.

Q: How much is the deposit to book my wedding?

A: Your wedding deposit is required to book with us and secure your spot on our calendar. We require a £50 or £25% non refundable deposit based on your initial wedding quote.

Q: How much should I budget for my wedding flowers?

A: Budgeting is difficult for so many bride's and sometimes it comes down to one thing: what are you prioritising? Some brides spend thousands of pounds on a home garden wedding because they just love flowers! We have had others that only order a single bouquet. The sky is the limit, but in that same sense, no wedding order is too small. At the end of the day whether you only need flowers for your wedding party or you want flowers dripping from the ceiling, we will quote you based on what you really want. From there, you can decide. With that being said, it is always helpful if you come to us with a budget. That way we can make appropriate suggestions to fit within your budget.

Q: Can I pick up my flowers the day before the wedding from my Lisburn Florist?

A: Yes. They are your wedding flowers after all!. However, we do not recommend flowers being picked up, or delivered, until the day of the wedding. When we store wedding flowers they are kept in coolers until the last minute to stay fresh and happy. Wedding flowers are meant for one day, your wedding day. Their purpose is not to last, their purpose is to look stunning for your day! With that in mind, we purposefully allow the flowers to open up so that the day you see them is when they are in their most beautiful.

Q; I want to make my own wedding arrangements. Can I order bulk flowers for my wedding from you?

A: Yes! We can provide bulk flowers for wedding clients who want to design their own bouquets and centrepieces. Bulk orders are priced upon request. We cannot guarantee certain flowers as they are such a delicate commodity that depend so much on the weather. If there is ever a problem getting in the flower variety you've requested we will offer an appropriate substitute. All bulk orders need to be finalised no later than 1 month before the wedding.

Q: When should you book a Lisburn & Belfast florist for your wedding?

A: There is nothing worse than missing out on the person you really want, and I would say to approach your florist at least six months before your date and up to a year if at all possible. However I have been able to help brides who provided 5-7 weeks notice. Once a deposit has been paid they will not offer you date out to other couples, it’s guaranteed yours. They then continue to work on your quote until you are happy with everything, including the price! As long as their initial quote is in the ball park price range, you know, with some tweaking you will get to where you need to be. Brides in the past have taken weeks, and sometimes months, to decide that they are going to book, waiting until every detail is correct and by that time someone else has come along and the Florist can no longer do their flowers for them.
